Hi Gluten Free friends in Chicago! The folks over at Eater.com put together an awesome list of 22 stellar Gluten-Free restaurants in Chicago that we bookmarked and wanted to share! As a Celiac I know first hand that even though restaurants are more accommodating than ever to those on a gluten-free diet, there are still plenty of challenges when dining out and that safe options can still be very limited.
We have been to some of the restaurants on the list (and can attest to their greatness), but many are new to us. Since menus, staffing and kitchen practices can change frequently we recommend calling ahead. And always make sure to talk with your waiter and let them know your needs. We have learned the hard way mever to assume something that should be gluten free is gluten free when dining out.
